“The girls continue to make steps in the right direction. When we played with intensity, the girls were on fire and everything seemed to click. However, when we didn’t have the momentum, we lapsed mentally a couple of times and couldn’t dig ourselves out. As a result, our lines of communication shut down and we started creating too many unforced errors,” Concordia coach Rio Brown said, “There were definitely a lot of positives to take from this tournament. The girls served tougher, our defense and serve receive passing continued to improve and the aggressive play at the net was key. Our hitters stepped up and made some great plays by reading the court. Everyone contributed, and we had a balanced attack all day. It was nice to see different players step up each match. We will continue to work hard, make some adjustments and keep moving forward.”
Concordia will play in the Sabetha Invitational on Saturday.
