Red Raiders outscore Panther JV
Outscored 27-14 in the second half, the Concordia junior varsity boys’ basketball team lost 52-45 to Wamego Friday night in the Concordia High School gymnasium.
Concordia had a 31-25 lead at halftime.
Wamego poured in 18 points in the third quarter, and gave up just eight, to take a 43-39 lead.
The Red Raiders added nine points in the final period, to six for the Panthers.
Jerod Toogood and Gilberth Garcia scored 12 points each for Concordia. Jace Coppoc added 11 points.
Concordia got out to a 15-11 lead in the first quarter.
The Panthers scored 16 points in the second period, to eight for the Red Raiders to take the 31-25 halftime advantage.
Wamego then rallied in the second half to get the win.
