Seventh grade boys roll, 49-27
The Concordia seventh grade boys’ basketball team rolled to a 49-27 home win over Clay Center on Thursday.
Concordia jumped out to a 12-3 lead in the first quarter.
The Panthers tacked on nine points in the second stanza, and gave up eight, to make it 21-11 at halftime.
Concordia put up 15 points in the third period, to nine for Clay Center, and led 36-20.
The Panthers added 13 points in the final quarter, and Clay Center scored seven.
Billy Bechard led the way for Concordia with 18 points.
Garrett Lawrence scored eight points for the Panthers, and Tyler Stupka added seven points.
The Concordia B-team fell 37-6 to Clay Center.
Keaton Rudolph scored four points for the Panthers.
