Seventh grade fall to Abilene

The Concordia seventh grade football team suffered a 44-14 loss to Abilene Thursday at Harold M. Clark Stadium.
Abilene got out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter.
Timmy Lambert returned a kickoff 68 yards for a touchdown in the second period for Concordia.
Abilene put up 14 points in the quarter, and led 22-6 at halftime.
Two touchdowns in the third period upped Abilene’s lead to 36-6.
Concordia got a 22-yard scoring run by Lambert in the final quarter.
Tryston Jochems ran in the two-point conversion.
Abilene added a touchdown and conversion in the fourth quarter.
Lambert finished with 72 yards rushing on 12 carries.
Corben Monzon carried five times for 20 yards.
The Panthers play at Clay Center in the season finale next Thursday.
