Seventh grade falls to Marysville
MARYSVILLE — Outscored 17-8 in the second half, the Concordia seventh grade girls’ basketball team lost 25-14 to Marysville on Monday.
Concordia trailed just 8-6 at halftime.
Marysville tossed in nine points in the third quarter, and limited the Panthers to four points, to build a 17-10 lead.
Concordia added four points in the final period, and Marysville scored eight points.
Cydney Bergmann, Jaden Champlin and Brittany MacLean scored four points each for the Panthers.
Marysville led 6-0 after one quarter of play.
The Panthers limited Marysville to two points in the second stanza, and scored six points, to make it 8-6 at halftime.
The Concordia B-team was beaten 28-17 by Marysville.
Concordia was down 11-4 at halftime.
Marysville pumped in 17 points in the second half to 13 for the Panthers.
Lauren Trecek scored six points for Concordia. Emily Daniels added four points.
