Swanson, Wallace record first-place finishes

EMPORIA — The Cloud County Community College women's track and field team had Taylor Swanson and Tameca Wallace record first-place finishes in the Emporia State Relays this past weekend.
Swanson cleared 12-7 ½ to win the pole vault.
Wallace placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 39-7.
Cloud County's Raven Davis finished fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.25.
Brenda Barnett turned in a time of 1:05.13 to place fourth in the 400-meter hurdles.
Anna Linton was fourth in the shot put for the Thunderbirds.
Cloud County's 4x100 relay finished fourth in 47.84.
The T-Birds' 4x400 relay team was sixth in  4:11.63.
Alexis Logan placed seventh in the 200 dash in 26.12.
The Cloud County men had Reinhard Van Zyl win the javelin with a toss of 227-9. Dwight Davidson placed seventh (198-5).
Benard Keter ran 3:58.44 to finish third in the 1,500-meter run.
Dakota Webber placed fourth in the discus.
