Three Panthers named all-league
Three members of the Concordia High School boys' basketball team have been named first team All-North Central Kansas League.
Cooper Holmes, Grant Holmes and Kaleb Pounds were all-league selections.
Concordia's Ethan Bechard earned all-league honorable mention.
The Panthers are 18-4 heading into the Class 4A-Division II state tournament. They went 9-1 to win the NCKL championship.
Cooper Holmes, a 6-4 sophomore, averaged 23.7 points per game to lead the league in scoring. He ranks second in rebounding (8.7).
Grant Holmes, a 6-4 senior, ranks second in the NCKL in scoring (20.3) and first in rebounding (8.9).
Pounds, a 5-8 senior, averages 6.9 points and 3.5 assists per game.
Bechard, a 6-0 sophomore, averages 4 points and 3.3 rebounds.
First-team all-league selections along with the three Concordia players include:
Kyler Alderson, Wamego; Keil Kelly, Abilene; Garrett Kort, Marysville; Lane Liby, Clay Center; Eli Miller, Wamego; Jesse Patrick, Abilene; and Trenton York, Wamego.
Receiving honorable mention include:
Jared Ayres, Wamego; Tanner Hoekman, Abilene; Logan Lexow, Chapman; and Tanner Wright, Marysville.
