Concert season continues with Sons of Serendip

The Concordia Concert Association 2018-19 season continues with a performance by Sons of Serendip on November 2 at 7 p.m. at the Brown Grand Theatre.
Sons of Serendip is a musical group of four friends, who through a series of serendipitous events, came together in graduate school at Boston University and formed an interesting musical quartet.
Each member of the Sons of Serendip has an inspiring story.
Tenor Micah Christian was a teacher. Keyboardist Cordaro Rodriguez was an attorney. Cellist Kendall Ramseur was a cello instructor and harpist Mason Morton was a teacher.
In 2014 serendipity gave them an opportunity to perform on America's Got Talent, and they were finalists, finishing fourth. That launched their career.
The Sons of Serendip concert focuses on fairly contemporary music, some with a twist, and some familiar pop tunes from Motown. All will feature Christian's tenor voice and the wonderful playing of Rodriguez, Ramseur (also backup singer) and Morton.
It is a very interesting combination of voice and instruments which produce a lovely, rich sound.
