Advance voting for November 5 election begins Wednesday

Advance voting for the November 5 general election in Cloud County begins on Wednesday and will continue through noon on November 4 in the County Clerk's Office.
Those wanting to apply to have an advance ballot mailed to them can call the County Clerk's Office at 785-243-8110 or complete  the advance ballot application  on the website at www.cloudcountyks.gov.
A signed application must be received by the Clerk's office before a ballot can be mailed out.
Four candidates, including two incumbents, are vying for two open seats on the Concordia city commission.
Commissioner Christy Hasch, first elected to the commission in 2013, is seeking a third team.
Sam Sacco has filed for a second three-year term on the commission. He was first elected in April, 2016.
Former commissioner Marsha Wentz and Gary Jeardoe Jr. have also filed for the two seats on the commission.
The Concordia Unified School District 333 board of education has four positions up for election.
Mark Nordell, District 2, Position 2, and Tony Miller, District 3, Position 3, are running unopposed for re-election to the board.
Kevin Pounds, District 4, member-at-large position, is seeking a fourth term on the board. He is being challenged by Nancy Owen.
Steve Wetter, District 1, Position 1, will not seek re-election.
Bryan Bombardier has filed for Wetter's position.
There are four candidates seeking three positions on the Cloud County Community College board of trustees.
The positions currently held by Larry Henry, Ellen Anderson and Tom Tuggle are up for election.
Henry is not seeking another term.
Anderson and Tuggle are each running for a third term.
Richard Hubert, Concordia, and Jim Koch, Clyde, have filed for a position on the board.
