Ballet Wichita to perform at the Brown Grand

At 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, Ballet Wichita will be presenting Cinderella at the Brown Grand Theatre.
In 2017, Ballet Wichita performed for over 20,000 people, including eight performances of the treasured holiday ballet, the Nutcracker. Through the company's innovative and growing arts educational and outreach programs, Ballet Wichita buses nearly 6,000 elementary-age students to its annual matinee performances of the Nutcracker (often a first-time exposure to both dance and live theatre for students). Ballet Wichita's educational programs have received acknowledgment and support from the Kansas Health Foundation and The National Endowment for the Arts.
The staff at the Brown Grand Theatre would like to invite everyone to join them Saturday night for an endearing story-based ballet of a young housemaid's determined belief in happiness and the transforming power of love. Ballet Wichita's production is re-imagined in 1920s Vienna, inside the “Glass Slipper Cafe.” Set to the music of Johann Strauss, Jr., Artistic Director Alex Ossadnik's three-part fairy tale ballet is humorous, charming and entertaining enough for audiences of all ages.
