Broadway Plaza to host Touch-A-Truck

Children of all ages will have an opportunity to get an up close and personal look at a variety of heavy machinery during Touch-A-Truck from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Broadway Plaza.
The first 50 families in attendance will receive a free copy of “Big Book of Trucks.” The books are funded by the Community Foundation for Cloud County and Usborne Books & More.
Heavy machinery to be on display include a hydraulic crane, fire truck, vactor jetter, bucket truck, concrete truck, front end loader, snow plow, dump truck, World War II fire truck, skid steer, tow truck, tractor, MTV wrecker and HMMWV contact truck.
Activities during the event will include pickle spitting, face painting, bean bag toss, duck matching, coloring station and create nature crowns.
Children's singer/songwriter Randy Sauer, known as Jammin' Randy, will perform from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Sauer is a multi-award winning children's singer and songwriter from Hays.
Participants in the event include: Gerard Tank & Steel, city of Concordia, Cunningham Cable, Abram Ready Mix, Kansas Department of Transportation, POW Camp Concordia, Foley's Equipment, Budreau Muffler Automotive & Tow, PrairieLand Partners, Concordia National Guard Armory, Golden Rule Preschool, Bright Beginnings and Victory Faith, Unified School District 333 State Pre-K, Cozy Corner Learning Center, Cloud County Community College Children's Center and Tinkergarten.
