CCCC board of trustees to have budget hearing

The Cloud County Community College board of trustees has a special meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday in Room 257 of the President's Addition, that will include a public hearing on the proposed 20201-2021 budget.
A proposed budget calling for $19,708,975 in expenditures, with an estimated tax rate of 29.259 mills, was approved for publication by the board of trustees. The tax rate is a slight decrease from the 29.299 mills in 2019-2020.
Interim president Amber Knoettgen recommended a proposed budget based on a five percent cut in state funding, totaling $221,720.25, and a five percent reduction in credit hours (1,822).
Following the budget hearing, the board of trustees will have a study session.
