CCCC faculty to host board forum

The Cloud County Community College Faculty Association will host a board of trustees candidate forum at 7 p.m. next Thursday in Cook Theatre.
There are three positions on the board of trustees up for election in the November 5 election. Those positions are held by Larry Henry, Ellen Anderson and Tom Tuggle.
Anderson and Tuggle are running for re-election, Henry is not.
Also on the ballot for the positions are Richard Hubert, Concordia, and Jim Koch, Clyde.
Jerad Monzon, Concordia, announced Wednesday that he intends to mount a write-in campaign.
Tuggle and Anderson are each seeking a third term on the board after first being elected in 2011 and being re-elected in 2015.
Koch is a member of the College Foundation board of directors. He is employed at American State Bank, moving to a part-time position and working toward retirement at the end of the year.
Hubert is a graduate of Cloud County Community College. He works at Rod's Food Store and ran for the board as a write-in candidate in 2017, but was not elected.
Monzon is also a Cloud County graduate, and worked in the information technology department. His wife, Deb Monzon, is the college volleyball coach.
Toby Nosker, KNCK news director, will serve as the moderator for the forum.
