CFCC has three new funds established since July 1

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) has three new funds that have been established since July 1, 2019.
The new funds established include:
Full Court Press for Progress Fund – This provisional fund was established to assist in the raising of monies for the complete overhaul of four tennis courts and one basketball court at the Concordia City Park. The project includes representatives from the donor group, CloudCorp, Unified School District 333 and the city of Concordia. This Strategic Doing project goal is to create a state-of-the-art court system which would include new lighting, new basketball goals, a speaker system, signage, replacement/repair of the fencing and an upgraded, warranted, sport performance flooring (modular high impact co-polymer polypropylene suspended surface).
American Legion Avenue of Flags Fund – This designated fund was established by the American Legion Post #76 with excess monies raised from the replacement project for the Avenue of Flags. The earnings of this endowed fund will be used to support the maintenance of the Avenue of Flags at Pleasant Hill Cemetery into perpetuity.
Dana J. Nelson Memorial Scholarship Fund – This designated fund was established in memory of Mrs. Nelson who walked the halls at the Concordia Elementary School for more than 40 years and taught more than 700 students. In the past years she taught small groups of students how to read better so they could learn even more. She found purpose and pleasure in helping her kids “get it.” This fund will provide a scholarship to a Concordia High School senior who is majoring in education with a preference to elementary education.
Third parties can contribute to any of these three funds to support their purpose through the CFCC.
