Chamber honors F&A Food Sales for 50 years in business

The Concordia Chamber of Commerce honored F&A Food Sales, Inc., which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Chamber of Commerce director Annie Bergmann and members of the board of directors presented F&A Food Sales owner Dan Farha with a plaque commemorating the anniversary during a ceremony on Thursday.
Farha began F&A Food Sales in 1970 with two employees, one truck and a small one-room warehouse.
F&A Food Sales now operates out of a 2.2 million cubic foot, state-of-the-art distribution center in Concordia. It provides distribution to over 3,000 customers in eight states.
Still an independent, family owned company, F&A Food Sales has grown to be one of the largest food distributors in the states it serves.
F&A Food Sales is one of the largest ice cream distributors in the central United States, stocking over 1,000 ice cream items, with distribution to all types of customers.
A member of the largest food buying organization in the country, F&A Food Sales has won several awards including “Federated Foods National Distributor of the Year” and “National Brand Sales Distributor of the Year.”
