CMS students particpat in Tulip Project

Concordia Middle School students participating in a leadership group have been helping beautify the Concordia Junior-Senior High School/Middle School campus through the Tulip Project.
Students planted red, white and red and white candy stripe tulips on the campus grounds.
The Tulip Project was funded by the Community Foundation for Cloud County.
“We have a group of young people who are volunteering their time to make Concordia a better place. This project was easy to approve,” Bob Steimel, Community Foundation for Cloud County executive director, said.
The Middle School leadership program consists of approximately 30 sixth grade students who meet during early morning sessions with counselor Brandt Hutchinson.
During one of the sessions, the students decided to volunteer their time to help beautify the campus.
Also participating in the beautification project were students in Jordan Champlin's JAG program and Dustin Bender's junior high science class.
