Concordia High School to celebrate Homecoming

Concordia High School will celebrate Homecoming Friday when the football team hosts Marysville.
Homecoming queen candidates are Hailey Budke, Taegen Larsen, Taylynn Peltier, Genna Strait and Shaina Wright.
King candidates are Jordan Anguish, Eastan Hake, Ivon Owen, Jacob Rosenbaum and Jacob Williams.
The queen and king will be crowned at 6:30 Friday night prior to the football game.
A pep rally is scheduled for 9 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Plaza that will include performances by the high school band, dancers and cheerleaders. There will also be a presentation of the fall sports teams.
Parents and community members are invited to attend.
The Homecoming parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. It will begin at the high school and travel down Sixth Street to the Broadway Plaza.
All Unified School District 333 students will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Following the parade, there will be an assembly at Broadway Plaza. The Homecoming candidates will be introduced, with videos produced by Cat Scratch Productions being shown on the screen.
Parents and community members attending the assembly are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
The Homecoming dance is scheduled for 10 p.m.-12 a.m. in the junior varsity gymnasium.
Wing Productions will be providing music for the dance.
Homecoming week theme days include Mellow Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Why do I have this in my closet? Wednesday, Time Travel Thursday and Panther Spirit Friday.
