Concordia Panther Trap Club kicks off 2018 fall season

The Panther Trap Shooting Club began its Fall 2018 season on Monday evening with competitive shooting at its new facility at the Concordia Fairgrounds.
There were 38 students from seventh grade to seniors in high school on the team. They compete in the Kansas State High School Clay Target League, and the fall season will run for five consecutive competition weeks, until the end of October.
Student-athletes on the Panther team shoot either Monday evenings, or Saturday mornings. They do not compete head-to-head against other teams. The team's scores for the week are entered into the league's True Team scoring format, and tallied against other teams in their conference.
Teams are assigned a conference based on a similar number of members on each team. In the True Team scoring format, each team has a pre-determined number of competitors that will contribute to their team’s overall score.
