Lagasse joins field in county board race

The field vying for the 3rd District seat on the Cloud County board of commissioners has grown to four with the filing of Republican Lance Lagasse, Concordia.
Bill Garrison has not filed for re-election to the 3rd District seat. The filing deadline was noon today.
Lagasse joins other Republicans Ron Copple, Michael Haley and Gail Engle in filing for the position on the commission.
There will be a primary election on August 4 to determine the Republican nominee.
The 3rd District includes Grant, Summit, Solomon, Lyon, Center, East Meredith, West Meredith and Lincoln Townships and the 3rd Ward of Concordia.
The general election is scheduled for November 3.
All of the positions in Cloud County are up for election except the 1st District seat on the county commission, held by Bill Czapanskiy.
