Lt. governor to visit as part of listening tour

Kansas Lieutenant Governor Lynn Rogers will be in Concordia Thursday as part of the Office of Rural Prosperity Listening Tour.
The tour is intended to foster new ways to help Kansas communities by hearing from the residents themselves. It serves as the first phase of the new Office of Rural Prosperity, which was approved for a $2 million allocation in the fiscal year 2020 budget.
The tour stop in Concordia is co-sponsored by the Cloud County Tourism Office and Republic County Economic Development.
Rogers and staff members will meet with community leaders in Cloud and Republic County and tour business and industry.
Community members are invited to provide input on quality of life successes and challenges in rural Kansas during a roundtable discussion from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Cloud County Community College.
