Sheriff's Dept. Report
Arrest – At about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, a Cloud County Sheriff's Department deputy stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of West 16th Street in Concordia for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the Sheriff's Department K-9 was used, which resulted in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle led to the arrest of Caleb Roth, Concordia. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center.
Accidents – At about 6:55 a.m. February 19, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department responded to a non-injury accident in the 700 section of K-28 Highway. A 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by Kent Taylor, Jamestown, was traveling eastbound when it went out of control. The vehicle entered the south ditch and struck a bridge owned by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
At about 3 p.m. February 21, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department responded to a non-injury, rollover accident at the intersection of North 190th Road and Plum Road. A 2000 Peterbilt semi driven by Kevin Collins, Concordia, was northbound on North 190th Road. As the vehicle attempted to turn westbound on Plum Road, Collins lost control because of icy road conditions. The vehicle entered the north ditch and overturned.
Runaway - At about 7:23 p.m February 21, the Cloud County Sheriff's Department received a report of a runaway juvenile. At about 8:15 p.m., deputies located the juvenile. The juvenile was transported to the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center and assessed by Juvenile Intake.
