Refurbishing of courts in City Park celebrated

Improvements to the tennis and basketball courts at the Concordia City Park were celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.
The Full Court Press for Progress included the rehabilitation of the dilapidated tennis and basketball courts at the park by leveling the surface and installing a polypropylene membrane, the installation of new basketball goals and signage, the replacement of fencing and the addition of pickleball courts.
The project received contributions from Concordia Unified School District 333 and the city of Concordia, as well as a $100,000 grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and $10,000 from the Community Foundation for Cloud County.
