Snow continues to pile up in north central Kansas

Snow continues to pile up in north central Kansas this winter.
A fast moving winter storm dumped 8.6 inches of snow on Concordia on Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service Office in Concordia, the single day snowfall record for February 23 was 7.1 inches set back in 1960.
Concordia has now received 42.1 inches of snow this winter. That is 25.5 inches above average.
In the month of February, Concordia has received 14.6 inches of snow, 10.2 inches above average.
Concordia has received 26.2 inches of snow since January 1. That is more than nine inches above average.
There is no snow in the forecast for Concordia through Thursday, but temperatures will be well below average.
High temperatures for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are forecast to be in the low to upper 20s with lows in the teens.
The average high temperature for Concordia for late February is in the upper 40s with average lows in the mid 20s.
There is a 30 percent chance for snow on Thursday night, and a 40 percent chance on Friday.
High temperatures for the upcoming weekend are forecast to be in the mid to upper teens with lows near zero.
