Dale D. Simpson

Dale D. Simpson, age 74, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at the Cloud County Health Center in Concordia, Kansas. He was born on August 13, 1945, in Lamar, Kansas, to Floyd and Cressa (Springsted) Simpson.
He was a 1963 graduate of Miltonvale High School.
On May 29, 1964, he married Linda Coffell in Miltonvale, Kansas, and would have made 56 years of marriage this Friday.
Dale owned and operated Dale’s Carpet Service for 47 years,  retiring in 2011.
Dale loved cars, especially restoring Corvettes, and going to area car shows. He was a lifetime member of the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He also was a member of the Hutchinson Corvette Club and was the 1st member of the Heartland Car Club.
He was a past member of the Moose and Elks Lodge, both of Concordia.
Dale is survived by his wife, Linda, Concordia; son, Brad Simpson (Teri), Canyon, Texas; daughter, Jacque Simpson, Salina, Kan.; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Simpson (Sara), and their son Gavin of Basehor, Kan., Carly Grissum (Chris) and son Corbin of Yukon, Okla.; mother, Cressa Simpson, Concordia, Kan.; a sister, Janice Baxton of Fla.; mother-in-law, Lorena Petzold, Miltonvale, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd and sister, Nadine.
Private family memorial service will be held at a later date in the Miltonvale Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
