Jolene K. Emmel

Jolene K. Emmel, age 68, entered into rest on Monday, May 25, 2020, at Our Home Senior Care in Shawnee, Kansas. She was born on November 1, 1951, in Concordia, Kansas, to Abner and Gladys (Tremblay) Cote.
Jolene was a 1969 graduate of Concordia High School.
On December 27, 1969, she married Vic Emmel, Jr., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia.
Jolene worked in the housekeeping department at the Marquis Place in Concordia, and also cleaned many homes personally.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Jolene also volunteered and did community service at the local V.F.W.  in Concordia.
Jolene enjoyed craft night, cards, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her loving family and friends.
Jolene is survived by her husband Vic Emmel, Jr., Concordia, Kan.; 2 daughters, Heather Standley (Shane), and their children, Aiden and Luke of Shawnee, Kan.; daughter, Danielle Wildeman (Darrin), Derby, Kan.; 2 brothers, Loren Cote (Jolene), Leland Cote; a sister, Lori Kagle, all of Concordia, Kan.
She was preceded by her parents, Abner and Gladys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 1-8 p.m., with a parish rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m., all at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, with Fr. David Metz officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia.
