KEITH E. BUSS

Keith E. Buss, age 88, Concordia resident, entered into rest, June 2, 2019, at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas.  He was born November 15, 1930, in Ames, Kansas, to Henry G. and Louise C. (Winteroth) Buss.

 

Keith served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951–1953 during the Korean War.  He was a 1950 Concordia High School graduate.  Keith was a lifetime farmer.  He enjoyed livestock, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family.

 

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lifetime Member of VFW Post #588 and American Legion #76 all of Concordia.

 

He married Mary F. Fyfe on September 1, 1957, at the New Hope Wesleyan Church, South of Concordia, Kansas.   Mary preceded him in death on May 31, 2004.

 

Survivors include his 2 sons, Jon Buss (Lisa), Concordia, KS and Steven Buss (Robin), Grantville, KS; a daughter, Jennifer Robbins (Stephen), Concordia, KS; sister, Minnie Sherman, Raytown, MO; 7 grandchildren, Derek (Stacie), Erika (Lee), Tiffani (Josh), Sarah (Austin), Nikole (Jordan), Nathan, Riley and 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Martha Fyfe, Concordia, KS, and Esther Reid (Charles), Salina, KS.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents; infant son, Daniel; 6 brothers; 1 sister.

 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Bob Frasier officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

 

Burial will follow in the Nelson Cemetery, Huscher, Kansas.  Military Honor Guard by United States Marine Corp and Local V.F.W. Post #588, American Legion Post # 76 and Legion Riders.
