Marilyn Nell Mihm, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, entered heaven on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Marilyn was born on March 31, 1930, in Greeley, Colorado, to Clarence and Frances Kirk.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marylou Gish and her mother and father. Her grandfather, Fred Johnson, was an important figure in her life and she was always looking forward to seeing him in heaven.
In March 1949, Marilyn married Robert Meisner, the love of her life, and they had five children together: Catherine Louise, Louana Jean, Robert Roy, Jack Duane and Kirk Lynn. After their divorce, Marilyn had 3 more children: Dale Edward, Rebecka Rae and Jon Thomas.
Marilyn’s greatest passion in her life were her great-grandchildren, Exavier and Lyndah and her grandchild, Becka, whom she helped raise. Marilyn also worked as an LPN until she retired from the Veteran’s Administration in the 1980’s.
Marilyn is survived by many blessings and eight children, 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her children’s belief is to always surround your children with love; they are the awesome legacy you leave on earth.
In lieu of flowers, our mom loved ice cream so please take your family out for ice cream and enjoy the time spent with them.
This was found written by Marilyn in her Bible dated November 1996. “One more hill to cross, only one more hill to cross. The Lord leads me all the way; he is with me every day. One more hill to cross, only one more hill to cross. Then I’ll never more roam, for he’s leading me home. Only one more hill to cross.”
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Nutter Mortuary.
Graveside Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Glasco cemetery, Glasco, Kansas.
