PEARL L. MASON

Pearl L. Mason, age 100, died Sat., June 1, 2019, at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde.  She was born on Feb. 24, 1919, in Rice, KS, to Oscar B. & Helen S. (Eaves) McGeoch.

Pearl attended country schools.  She married James Elmore Mason on Jan. 7, 1939, in Concordia.  He preceded her on Jan. 20, 1990.  Pearl was a lifelong area resident and homemaker.  Pearl was a hard working woman, always keeping a large garden, cooking and keeping the family going.  She was a member of the Good Neighbor Club, several card clubs & the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Pearl is survived by her sons, Raymond Mason (Lorrie) & Richard Mason (Ruth Lewellyn) all of Concordia; grandchildren, Jody Halfhide (Tim), Brad Mason, Russell Mason & Randy Mason; step-grandchildren, Clinton Fraser (Carrie) & Marsha Wachsnicht (Aaron); 5 great-grandchildren & 4 step great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Elmore Mason; a son, Gene LeRoy; a granddaughter, Becky Mason; her parents; 2 sisters, Dorothy Heuton & Irene Roark; a brother, Carl McGeoch & a daughter-in-law, Pauline Mason.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wed., June 5, 2019, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.  Visitation will be Tues., June 4, 2019, from 1-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 7-8 p.m., all at the funeral home.  The family suggests memorials to Park Villa Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
