RAMONA LEATRICE OUELLETTE

Ramona Leatrice Ouellette, 87, died Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, Kan.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington.  
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Washington. A rosary service will follow at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 10, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kieffer officiating.
Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery.
Ramona was born on October 12, 1931, in rural Washington County, to Fred and Agnes (Hauschel) Hedding. She graduated Washington High School. On December 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Emil Ouellette. To this union were born five children, Gary, Steve, Dana, Paula and Debra.
Ramona worked for the Washington Creamery and after marriage, for the Linn Community Nursing Home as a CNA. She liked walking, dancing and was an artist, drawing and painting. She belonged to an art club and enjoyed helping people. She liked spending time with her family and attending their activities.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Emil in 1992; son, Steve Ouellette in 1981; grandson, Russell Cairns; and granddaughter-in-law, Karla Barnes.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Jody) Ouellette, Linn, Dana (Scott) Miller, Washington, Paula (Calvin) Mendenhall, Concordia, and Debra (Steve) Barnes, Washington; sister, Joyce (Lavern) Robbins, Concordia; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Bledsoe, Washington, Shirley Ouellette, Denver, Colo.; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
