Robert B. Istas (Bobby) (Cool Hand), passed away at Warrensburg Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri, on March 14, 2020. He was born Oct. 11, 1950, to Verna E. (Brown) Istas and D. Bernard (Barney) Istas in Concordia, Kansas. He formerly lived in Loveland, Colo.
He married Karla Gerard on June 30, 1984, in Loveland, Colo. He spent his life as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife Karla of Knob Noster, Mo; stepchildren, Corina Firkins, Loveland, Colo. & Jeramie Firkins, Columbia, Mo.; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Judy) Istas, Salina, Kan., Richard (Patsy) Istas, Loveland, Colo.; sisters, Regina (Richard ) Loeffler, Concordia, Kan. & Ellen McGrath & fiance Scott Lewis, Wichita, Kan.; aunt, Lela Blochlinger; several nieces & nephews & a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Services and inurnment will be at a later date.
