Letter to the Editor 3-22-19

Dear editor,

I wanted to provide an update on the Terry Householter Memorial project. The response has been a resounding success and our community and CHS alumni should be very proud of themselves. We have met our goal to place two benches and a plaque at the Harold Clark Stadium. All other money will go to the Track Scholarship Fund in Terry’s name.
Also, we are planning a dedication ceremony on May 8th at 2:30 pm at the Stadium.  The community is invited to attend the ceremony and the reception that will follow at the Concordia High School.
The Cloud County Museum will soon have a display of Terry’s memorabilia, and it will also be on display during the week of the dedication.  Just recently, there are some very striking items that have been generously donated to the museum from his family.  One item in particular is his Bronze star awarded from the USMC and the citation along with his award.
I wanted to thank Russell Gagnon and the Blade-Empire for helping us get word out to everyone. We owe them a big “thank you”!
