Letter to the Editor 8-16-19
Dear Editor:
The 2019-2020 school year is upon us and we are right in the middle of our annual Booster Club membership drive.
The CHS Booster Club strives to not only provide financial support for all activities and athletics but also to bring forth spirit, good sportsmanship, and leadership at Concordia Junior Senior High School (CJSHS) events.
Every group and organization at CJSHS may request funding from CHS Booster Club. We have supported every club/organization/team that has requested funds. Donations by the Booster Club have gone towards the following:
Game Time Radio
GameTime is our own custom in-house “radio station” – with DJ’s, great music and commercials for businesses or organizations like yours. GameTime has a great mix of upbeat, family-friendly music along with special messages updated for each specific game played in our various sports venues. GameTime will be used at most home sporting events -- and it sounds just like a real radio station! Businesses may purchase ad time on a first come first serve basis. Spots are limited! Contact Steen Danielsen if your business is interested in advertising on GameTime Radio!

throwing equipment, hurdles, batons, & pole vault poles for the track team.
We have also supported the needs of the Debate/Forensics team, Friends of Rachel, Renaissance Club, FCCLA, FBLA, Scholars Bowl, Language Club, After Prom and many others.
Because the Booster Club is a non-profit organization, all money raised through membership, the Spirit Store, and our tailgate fundraisers, goes directly back to the students.
Our opening tailgate fundraiser will be before kick-off on September 13th as Concordia hosts Abilene. The Booster Club will be serving from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the tailgate blitz for a discounted amount or can be purchased at the gate for $6 per ticket..
This year, on August 17th, we will send our students from the Broadway Plaza to our friends and families to help pre-sell these tickets at a discounted price! We call it our annual “Tailgate Blitz”. On this day, 4 tickets can be purchased for $15. Anyone is welcome to come to the Plaza from noon - 2:00 p.m. to get their discounted tailgate tickets.
Thank you to all persons, families, and businesses that have supported our mission in the past and will continue to support it this coming 2019-2020 school year.
