Club Notes

The Concordia American Legion Post and Unit 76 members dined with the Girls State delegates and their families on March 7 to listen to why the girls wanted to attend Girls State.
Separate meetings followed after the guests departed.
With Unit 76 president Patty Post not present, vice president Lisa Valcoure called the meeting to order. That was followed by prayer, pledge and preamble.
Eleven members and six officers answered roll call.
Treasurer Jacque Young vacationed to Vermont, Brenda Davis, protium, read the complete financial report.
Communications were: Call to convention and program of the District Six Spring Convention scheduled for April 6 in Phillipsburg.
Cavalcade of memories chairman reported that since 2000, Unit 76 has sponsored 55 delegates to Girls State. The 2018-19 Girls State chairman Sue Cadamore reported and made a motion to send three delegates this June 2-7 including Genna Strait, Ciara Kearn and Maddy Johnson. It was seconded by Brenda Davis and approved by all.
On membership, it was reported four members dues have been sent to Department.
Plans were completed from the American Legion Birthday/Pin-Certificate Dinner on March 9. Continuous membership pins and certificates were presented.
Business complete, closing prayer and good night.
Membership chairman Lorene Phipps assisted Valcoure and secretary Laura Christensen in naming, dating and signing certificates to be presented at the dinner.
