Privates William Bryant and Craig Saindon, best friends back home in Concordia, were both honor graduates as “Outstanding Trainee of the Cycle” at 9th Battalion graduation ceremonies at Fort Jackson, S.C.... D.J. Sager opened a new automotive repair shop in Concordia at 121 E. 18th, known as D.J.'s Repair Shop... Miss RoseMary Nobert, daughter of Mrs. Rose Nobert and the late LaVarn Nobert, and L/cpl. Robert Foster, son of Mrs. Letha Foster, exchanged marriage vows at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Eugene Stehno officiating.

Children from the Cloud County Community College Children's Center spread Christmas cheer through song as they traveled throughout the college singing carols... Damon and Laura Christensen, representing the American Legion, went to the Colomery O'Neil V.A. Medical Center to deliver 28 sacks of candy, over 103 dozen cookies, sheets and pillow cases, approximately six different magazine subscriptions and lap robes... “Dumb and Dumber” was showing at the Apollo Theater.

The Cloud County Community College board of trustees accepted a bid from Ron Fowles Construction Management of Manhattan for the construction of a 78-bed student apartment building... as a recent service project, Concordia Women of the Moose presented Tommy Moose toys to Cloud County Health Center and the Concordia Fire Department to be used to comfort children in times of need... wheat was selling at $4.49, corn was $3.45, and milo was $3.45 per bushel on local markets.

The Concordia Police Department presented “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Brown Grand Theatre... the DVD of “The Story of Marion Ellet” was now available for sale at the Cloud County Historical Society Museum... Ray Doyen celebrated his 90th birthday... Concordia Junior High School wrestling team had six wrestlers, Jordan Anguish, Ivon Owen, Carson McMillan, Chance LeDuc, Eyann Zimmerman and Jeremiah Fund, place in the top four in the NCK League Tournament...  wheat was selling at $6.28, corn was $3.72, and milo was $4.32 per bushel on local markets.

“The Night Before Christmas” was the featured book during the Neighbor to Neighbor Reading With Friends, and special guest Curtis Genereux was reading the story to the children... the Cloud County Community College softball team spearheaded the 2019 Christmas for Kids Toy Drive... North Central Kansas Teens for Christ announced the band Cloverton would be performing as part of A Hallelujah Christmas Tour at the Brown Grand Theatre... wheat was selling at $4.92, corn was $3.37, and milo was $3.17 per bushel on local markets.
