CCCC drops dual to Chadron State

CHADRON, Neb. — Blayne Harris picked up the lone win as the Cloud County Community College wrestling team fell 45-3 in a dual to Chadron State College Saturday at the Nelson Physical Activity Center.
Harris, a sophomore from Beloit who is ranked second in the country in the 125-pound class, defeated Chadron State's Tate Stoddard, 7-3.
The Thunderbirds, now 1-2 in duals, would suffer losses in each of the nine matches following.
Blake Leiszler, a sophomore from Concordia, was pinned by Brandon Kile in the 133-pound class.
Joel Ostrom, 141 pounds, lost a 13-3 major decision to Joseph Ritzen.
Chandler Schoenberger dropped an 8-2 decision to Caleb Haskell in the 149-pound class.
Nate Normandin, 157 pounds, lost by major decision to Chase Clasen.
Tristin Hauck, 165 pounds, was pinned by Tate Allison.
Dante Harper, 174 pounds, lost by fall to Gavin Eason.
Micah Sterling, 184 pounds, dropped a 17-4 major decision to Jay Westcott.
Kevin Murry was pinned by Wade French in the 197-pound class.
Jose Lopez, 285 pounds, lost by fall to Eli Hinojosa.
The T-Birds will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the Desert Duals on Sunday.
