CCCC falls to Coffeyville, 73-56

COFFEYVILE — The Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens dealt the Cloud County Community College Thunderbirds a fourth consecutive loss, 73-56, Wednesday night.
Cloud County, playing its third game in five days, falls to 7-13 overall and 2-8 in the Jayhawk Conference East Division.
Coffeyville, which has now won four straight games, improves to 17-3 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
The Red Ravens led just 20-18 after one quarter of play.
Cloud County was outscored 19-13 in the second period, and trailed 39-31 at halftime.
The T-Birds were limited to six points in the third quarter.
Coffeyville tossed in 18 points in the period to extend its lead to 57-37.
Cloud County tacked on 19 points in the final 10 minutes to 16 points for the Red Ravens.
Freshman Jacy Dalinghaus came off the bench to score 13 points and grab five rebounds for the T-Birds.
Alyssa Castilleja, a freshman point guard, joined Dalinghaus in double figures with 10 points.
Cloud County made 23 of 61 field goal attempts for 38 percent and just 6 of 13 free throws for 46 percent.
Coffeyville had 11 players score in the game, including four in double figures.
McKenzie Murrel-Patton, Ania Markowska and Julia Calafell scored 11 points each.
Alana Kramer finished with 10 points.
The Red Ravens shot 45 percent (26 of 58) from the floor and 86 percent (12 of 14) from the free throw line.
Cloud County plays a second straight road game at Cowley College on Saturday night.
The Tigers are 15-5 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
