CCCC suffers four losses to ranked teams

MIAMI, Okla. — The 25th-ranked Cloud County Community College wrestling team suffered losses to four ranked teams in the NJCAA Coaches Dual Friday and Saturday at Northeast Oklahoma A&M.
Cloud County was beaten 45-9 by 20th-ranked Iowa Lakes Community College in its first dual on Friday.
Blayne Harris, ranked ninth in the 125-pound class, won an 8-3 decision over Iowa Lakes' Daniel Porter.
Cloud County was open in three weight classes, as Iowa Lakes won the next eight matches.
Elwin Trejo capped off the dual for the Thunderbirds by pinning Jose Concepcion in 53 seconds in the 285-pound class.
Cloud County fell 31-22 to 22nd-ranked Colby Community College.
Harris won a 14-1 major decision over Zach Tucker.
The T-Birds dropped the next three matches.
Albert Werden was pinned by Rhett Miner in the 133-pound class.
Toby Gavette, 141 pounds, lost to Rush Fannon.
Blake Leiszler fell 13-4 to Mouhammad Sangariev in the 149-pound class.
Nate Normandin, 157 pounds, pinned Lazura Osayande, and Cloud County trailed 16-10.
The T-Birds were open at 165 pounds.
Dante Harper lost by decision to Colby's Austin Hacker in the 174-pound class.
Cloud County's Micah Sterling pinned Aiden Smith in the 184-pound class.
The T-Birds gave up a forfeit at 197 pounds.
Trejo won by forfeit at 285.
Cloud County was shut out by third-ranked North Idaho Community College, 57-0.
Top-ranked Western Wyoming Community College blanked the T-Birds, 60-0.
Cloud County hosts Central Christian College in a dual at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
