Chapman clips Panthers

Chapman scored a touchdown and added a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter to pull out a 20-16 win over the Concordia eighth grade football team Thursday at Harold M. Clark Stadium.
Concordia led 16-12 heading into the final period of its home opener.
Chapman shut out the Panthers in the fourth quarter and scoring the winning touchdown.
Concordia got a 6-yard touchdown run by Dustin Sterrett in the first quarter, and added the extra point go take an 8-0 lead.
Chapman made it 8-6 with a touchdown in the second period.
Sterrett added a 3-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
Braeden Primeaux threw to Maddox Frey for the two-point conversion.
A touchdown by Chapman in the third period left the Panthers leading 16-12.
Chapman then scored in the final stanza to pull out the win.
Joey Henderson had 131 yards rushing for Concordia in the game.
Sterrett finished with 47 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
Primeaux had 20 yards passing.
