CHS JV finishes third in league

Led by Isaiah Steffen's second-place finish in number two singles, the Concordia High School junior varsity tennis team placed third in the North Central Kansas League tournament it hosted on Monday.
Abilene won the tournament with 24 points. Marysville was second with 16 and Concordia scored eight.
Steffen defeated Tillman Hartner, Clay Center, 6-1and lost 6-4 to Nick Holmes, Abilene.
Caden Williams finished third in number one singles for the Panthers. He downed Brycen Peterson, Clay Center, 6-2. He was beaten 6-3 by Kai Barton, Marysville, and 6-3 by Travis Luthi, Abilene.
Tyson Roush and Taryn Roush placed third in number one doubles for Concordia. They got past Clay Center's number one team 6-4 and fell 6-2 to Marysville and 6-1 to Abilene.
Playing number two doubles for the Panthers, Noah Thoman and Hunter Blackwood fell 6-2 to Marysville and 6-1 to Abilene.
