CJHS wrestlers defeat Wamego
Winning the final seven matches, the Concordia Junior High School wrestling team wrapped up its season by defeating Wamego, 70-39, in a North Central Kansas League dual it hosted on Thursday.
With the win, Concordia finished the season unbeaten in duals.
The Panthers trailed Wamego, 39-28, in the dual.
Lennon Ninemire won by fall in the 141-pound class to start Concordia's run over seven straight victories.
Dane Cleveland pinned his opponent in the 148-pound class.
Jacob Barr, 155 pounds, also won by fall.
Cole Britt, 165 pounds, and Jadrian Riley, 180 pounds, each won by forfeit.
Tracer Murdock registered a pin in the 215-pound class.
Kyle McFadden, 265 pounds, won by forfeit.
Gunner Barnes got Concordia on the board first when he received a forfeit in the 75-pound class.
Baylor Knox, 80 pounds, lost by fall.
Logan Jackson, 85 pounds, received a forfeit.
Keigan Workman won a 13-0 major decision.
Trey Collins, 95 pounds, and Rush LeDuc, 100 pounds, lost by fall.
Brandon Wahlmeier dropped a 4-2 decision in the 105-pound class.
Carter Eakins won by pin in the 110 -pound class.
Francisco Ayala, 115 pounds, was pinned.
Drew Sterrett, 120 pounds, received a forfeit.
Kaide Gropp, 127 pounds, and Zane Garmen, 134 pounds, lost by fall.
