CJHS wrestlers drop pair of duals

MARYSVILLE — The Concordia Junior High School wrestling team was beaten by Marysville and Wamego in a pair of North Central Kansas League duals on Tuesday.

Marysville defeated Concordia, 63-30.

The Panthers fell to Wamego, 66-42.

Concordia won the first four matches in the dual against Marysville.

Christian Belden, 75 pounds, won by forfeit.

Connor Novak, 80 pounds, beat Calvin Gibson, 7-4.

Wade Kindel, 85 pounds, downed Jacob Dankerbring, 7-2.

Koby Tyler pinned Braden Hadley in the 90-pound class.

Cody Trost, 95 pounds, lost by fall to Ian Detimore.

Easton Swihart, 100 pounds, was pinned by Tristan Schaefer.

Ashton Dooley, 105 pounds, lost by fall to Gabe Fredrickson.

Bergun Kindel beat Keaton Graver 2-1 in the 110-pound class.

Daniel Vines, 120 pounds, won by forfeit.

Dustin Sterrett, 217 pounds, was pinned by Keith Johnson.

Chayton Alquist-Pennell, 148 pounds, lost to Rhett Williams 4-2 in overtime.

Gunnar Hale, 285 pounds, pinned Nate Dettke.

In the dual against Wamego, Belden and Novak won by forfeit.

Wade Kindel pinned Hunter Mayer.

Tyler pinned Levi Waugh and Trost pinned Gabe Koehn.

Swihart lost by fall to Hagan Johnson.

Dooley was pinned by Lane Jeanerette.

Bergun Kindel was pinned by Tayke Weber.

Vines pinned Jake Meyer.

Sterrett lost by fall to Kyle Soeken.
