CJHS wrestlers split pair of duals

CLAY CENTER — Defeating Rock Creek, and falling to Clay Center, the Concordia Junior High School wrestling team split a pair of duals on Tuesday.
Concordia downed Rock Creek, 58-30.
Christian Belden, 75 pounds, and Connor Novak, 80 pounds, won by forfeit for Concordia.
Wade Kindel pinned Rock Creek's Gage Anderson in the 85-pound class.
Koby Tyler, 90 pounds, pinned Seth Fegge.
Cody Trost won by fall over Maddox Ibarra in the 95-pound class.
Easton Swihart, 100 pounds, pinned Peyton McCarn.
Ashton Dooley was pinned by Trevor Christensen in the 105-pound class.
Bergun Kindel, 110 pounds, was pinned by Ethan Burgess.
Kadryn McMannus defeated Josh Miller 9-0 in the 115-pound class.
Daniel Vines, 120 pounds, won by forfeit.
Dustin Sterrett lost by fall to Peyton Yeager in the 127-pound class.
Chayton Alquist-Pennell, 148 pounds, pinned Malachi Bell.
Gunnar Hale, 265-pounds, won by forfeit.
Concordia was beaten 76-25 by Clay Center.
The Panthers won four of the first five matches.
Belden pinned Connor Roff.
Wade Kindel pinned Jackson Henry.
Tyler pinned Morgan Brumfield and Trost beat Jace Brownell, 12-0.
Hale picked up a win for Concordia by beating Isaac Gurney, 2-1.
The Panthers will host their round robin tournament on Saturday.
