CNB drops opener to Hanover, 13-7

Citizens National Bank suffered a 13-7 league loss to Hanover in its season opener last Friday at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Drew Benfer walked and scored a run in the bottom of the second inning to give Citizens National Bank a 1-0 lead.
Hanover put up five runs in the top of the third inning, and led 5-1.
Responding with five runs in the bottom of the third, Citizens National Bank reclaimed the lead at 6-5.
Peyton Breese, Joey Henderson, Cav Carlgren, Keegun Beims and Easton Atwood scored in the inning.
Three runs in the top of the fourth inning put Hanover on top to stay, 8-6.
Hanover tacked on two runs in the top of the fifth inning to make it 10-6.
Henderson doubled and scored in the bottom of the fifth, and Citizens National Bank trailed 10-7.
Hanover added one run in the sixth inning and two in the seventh.
Carlgren, Atwood, Henderson and Benfer pitched for Citizens National Bank.
Hanover downed Citizens National Bank 7-1 in the three-inning non-league game played.
Leading 1-0 after one inning of play, Hanover put up five runs in the second inning to make it 6-0.
Hanover scored one run in the top of the third inning.
Alan Garcia doubled and scored a run for Citizens National Bank in the bottom of the third.
Breese, Beims and Caleb Hanson pitched for Citizens National Bank.
