CNB knocks off Clifton-Clyde, 11-1

Cav Carlgren and Easton Atwood combined on a four-hitter as Citizens National Bank downed Clifton-Clyde 11-1 in four innings in K-18 Baseball league play Tuesday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Carlgren shut Clifton-Clyde out on two hits through three innings. He struck out four and walked two.
Atwood allowed one run on one hit in the forth inning.
Citizens National Bank jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning.
Atwood, Carlgren and Joey Henderson were each hit by pitches and scored in the inning.
Caleb Hanson singled and scored and Payton Breese walked and scored.
Breese led off the second inning with a single, and came around to score.
Henderson walked and scored to put Citizens National Bank up 7-0.
Citizens National Bank tacked on three runs in the third inning to extend the lead to 10-0.
Keegun Beims and Alexis Garcia singled and scored and Breese walked and scored.
Clifton-Clyde scored its only run in the top of the fourth inning.
Carlgren led off the bottom of the fourth with a walk.
Drew Benfer doubled to drive in Carlgren and end the game because of the 10-run rule.
Breese scored two runs for Citizens National Bank.
Henderson and Carlgren scored two runs each.
Clifton-Clyde shut out Citizens National Bank 5-0 in the three-inning non-league game played.
One run in the first inning and three in the second gave Clifton-Clyde a 4-0 lead.
Clifton-Clyde added one run in the third inning.
Henson, Benfer and Braeden Primeaux did the pitching for Citizens National Bank.
