CNB posts 12-2 win over Pike Valley

Drew Benfer and Ashton Dooley combined on a one-hitter as Citizens National Bank knocked off Pike Valley 12-2 in four innings in K-18 NCK League play Sunday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Benfer pitched the first three innings and gave up one unearned run on one hit. He struck out four and walked two.
Dooley allowed one unearned run in the fourth inning. He struck out one and walked one.
Citizens National Bank jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning.
Payton Breese and Joey Henderson walked.
Cav Carlgren singled to drive in one run.
Henderson scored on an error.
A base hit by Benfer got Carlgren home.
Benfer would score on a passed ball.
Easton Atwood walked and Keegun Beims singled.
A base hit by Alexis Garcia drove in a run with a single.
Beims scored on a bases loaded walk.
Citizens National Bank made it a 9-0 game with three runs in the second inning.
Carlgren walked and Benfer singled. Both would score on passed balls.
Atwood singled, moved to second on a base hit by Beims, stole third and then stole home.
Pike Valley put up one run in the top of the third inning.
Three runs in the bottom of the third gave Citizens National Bank a 12-1 advantage.
Breese was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. He stole second and third and scored on a base hit by Henderson.
Henderson got home on a passed ball.
Carlgren walked and scored on a double by Atwood.
Benfer had two hits and scored two runs for Citizens National Bank.
Beims had two hits and Carlgren scored three runs.
Citizens National Bank will play a doubleheader against F&A Food Sales on Tuesday night.
