CNB rolls to 12-1 win over Hanover

HANOVER — Racking up eight runs in the top of the first inning, Citizens National Bank rolled to 12-1 K-18 Baseball NCK League victory over Hanover on Friday night.
Citizens National Bank sent 14 batters to the plate in that big first inning.
Payton Breese, Caleb Hanson, Joey Henderson and Cav Carlgren drew consecutive walks in the inning and all came around to score.
Keegun Beims and Braeden Primeaux had run producing singles.
Breese knocked in two runs with a double.
Citizens National Bank made it a 10-0 game with two runs in the top of the second inning.
Easton Atwood singled and scored on a base hit by Dustin Sterrett.
Sterrett would steal home.
Hanover scored its only run in the third inning.
Citizens National Bank added two runs in the fifth inning.
Drew Benfer walked with the bases loaded to force home a run.
Primeaux knocked in a run with a single.
The game ended after five innings.
Cav Carlgren pitched all five innings to get the win. He gave up three hits, struck out seven and walked three.
Breese had two hits, drove in two runs and scored two.
Citizens National Bank defeated Hanover 4-1 in the three-inning non-league game.
Sterrett singled and scored a run in the first inning to give Citizens National Bank a 1-0 lead.
Citizens National Bank added three runs in the top of the third inning.
Hanover scored one run in the bottom of the third.
Hanson and Ashton Dooley pitched for Citizens National Bank.
