CNB rolls past Pike Valley, 19-4
COURTLAND — Leading from start to finish, Citizens National Bank rolled past Pike Valley 19-4 in K-18 Baseball NCK League play Friday night.
Citizens National Bank got out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
With one out, Caleb Hanson was hit by a pitch and Joey Henderson singled.
Cav Carlgren, Drew Benfer, Alexis Garcia and Keegun Beims followed with singles to drive in runs.
Five runs in the top of the second inning gave Citizens National Bank a 9-0 advantage.
Hanson led off with a walk and Henderson singled.
Carlgren drew a walk to load the bases.
A ground ball by Bender got one run home.
With two out, Beims singled to knock in two runs.
Ashton Dooley and Braeden Primeaux walked and Payton Breese followed with a two-run single.
Pike Valley scored its four runs in the bottom of the second inning to make it a 9-4 game.
Citizens National Bank scored three runs in the top of the third inning, and led 12-4.
Carlgren walked and Garcia was hit by a pitch.
Beims followed with a two-run single and scored when Breese walked with the bases loaded.
Racking up seven runs in the fourth inning, Citizens National Bank made it a 19-4 game.
Garcia had a two-run double in the inning.
Beims singled home a run.
Three runs were scored on errors.
The game ended after four innings.
