Concordia Lions roll to 23-0 victory

CLIFTON — The undefeated Concordia Lions thumped Southern Cloud 23-0 in the semifinals of the Peewee Baseball District 3 Tournament Thursday night.
With the win, the Lions advance to the championship game against Clifton scheduled for tonight.
Clifton downed Clyde in the other semifinal.
Taking advantage of eight walks, the Lions put up 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning against Southern Cloud.
Drake Blochlinger scored two runs in the inning.
The Lions added three runs in the second inning to make it a 13-0 game.
Sending 14 batters to the plate, the Lions scored 10 more runs in the third inning.
The game ended after three innings.
Logan Jackson pitched a three-inning no-hitter for the Lions. He struck out nine of the 10 batters he faced.
Blochlinger had two hits and scored four runs for the Lions.
Jackson, Maxson Frey and Parker Jackson scored three runs each.
