Concordia splits pair of league matches with Irish

Splitting a pair of matches with Chapman Tuesday night in the Concordia Junior-Senior High School gymnasium, the Concordia High School volleyball team finished second in the North Central Kansas League.
Concordia, 19-13 overall, finished 7-3 in league play.
Marysville captured the NCKL championship with an 8-2 record.
Concordia defeated Chapman in straight sets in the first match on Senior Night, 25-17, 25-20.
Chloe Conway had six kills, seven digs, two blocks and five service points for the Panthers.
Taegen Larsen matched Conway with six kills. She also had six digs.
Kendall Reynolds finished with 42 good sets in 42 attempts with 22 assists, five digs and nine service points.
Maddy Meyer had four kills and two blocks.
Shaina Wright added three kills and six digs.
Terryl Loeffler also had three kills to go with three blocks.
Zoe Bechard had nine digs and four service points.
Concordia dropped the second match to the Irish, 25-20, 25-18.
Conway had five kills and three service points.
Larsen had four kills, four digs and two blocks.
Wright had three kills and six digs.
Loeffler had three kills and three blocks.
Reynolds had 50 good sets in 51 attempts with 14 assists, seven digs and four service points with two aces.
“We want to thank the seniors and their families for their last four years of dedication and commitment to our program,” Concordia coach Rio Brown said.
The Panthers will finish up the regular season at the Sabetha Invitational on Saturday.
