Concordia wrestlers compete in state championships

HUTCHINSON — Two members of the Concordia Kids Wrestling Club placed in the top three in their respective divisions in the USA Wrestling Kansas Freestyle/Greco Championships.
Kaleb Keiswetter placed second in the 57-62 pounds, 12-and-under division of the Greco Championships and third in the Freestyle Championships.
Tracer Murdock, 149 pounds, 14-and-under, placed second in the Freestyle Championships and third in the Greco Championships.
In the Greco Championships, Keiswetter received a bye in the opening round. He lost by fall to Mykayle Sutton, South Central Punishers, and then pinned Xzephren Donner, Russell.
Keiswetter, in the Freestyle Championships, lost by fall to Easton Benavidez, Renegades. He won by technical fall, 10-0, over Donner and then lost by fall to Sutton.
Murdock, in the Freestyle Championships, lost by technical fall to Jack Harvey, DC Gold, 10-0 and then lost by technical fall to Harvey, 13-2.
In the Greco Championships, Murdock lost by fall to Lucas Anderson, Team Lightning. He received a bye and then lost by fall to Jack Harvey.
